Riot control agents known as “tear gas” cause crying, sneezing, coughing, difficulty breathing, and temporary (hopefully) blindness. Their use in warfare is prohibited by international treaty, but it’s fine to use on your own citizens. And street medics who help people overcome the effects of such gases get arrested by riot police so fast it will make your head spin.
